The Red Deer Highland Games has been held in Red Deer since 1947 and is the kickoff to our outdoor Highland Games season. An integral part of the community, it is a well attended event for competitors and the general public alike. Come join in on the fun!

As a sanctioned ASPD event, the Red Deer Highland Games follow the music requirements as set out by the Music Committee, which can be found here. To compete in solo and band competitions, everyone must be a 2024 ASPD member in good standing. For ASPD membership information, visit the Membership page.
The Red Deer Highland Games follows the rules as set out by the ASPD and reserves the right to cancel events as required.
In consideration of submitting an entry, you will, for yourself , your heir(s), executor and administrators, waive and release any rights for damages you may have against the Alberta Society of Pipers & Drummers and the Red Deer Highland Games, its agents, representatives, successors and assignees for any and all injuries suffered at or through the aforementioned events.
